I have been a patient of Dr. Moreland’s since November of 2009.  I was seeing another chiropractor in the Latrobe area for hip and back discomfort, but my progress was very slow and I was uncomfortable with the old fashioned adjustments used in that office.  My husband was already a patient of Dr. Moreland, and suggested that I switch.  My husband described the Activator method and it sounded like something I wanted to try.  I have been very pleased with Dr. Moreland and the Activator method of adjusting.  It is painless, comfortable, and most importantly, effective.

In July of 2011, I was diagnosed with acid reflux disease and a hiatal hernia following an endoscopy at our local hospital.  The gastroenterologist prescribed several medications for me, all of which caused uncomfortable side effects.  After four tries, the doctor told me there were no more medications they could prescribe.  They told me that I would have to live with my condition and follow a strict diet, avoiding almost everything that most people enjoy eating.

I was very frustrated by this, and had pretty-much resigned myself to being miserable, but thought to tell Dr. Moreland about my condition to see if he could help me.  Fortunately, he said that he had been successful in treating patients with acid reflux disease and hiatal hernias.  He immediately started a treatment plan, with the use of the Activator and electric muscle stimulation.

Dr. Moreland was the only one who was able to give me relief from my condition.  We started off with 3 visits a week, and after 2 weeks I noticed a great improvement in my condition.  I was slowly able to reintroduce food into my diet that I had enjoyed eating before my diagnosis.  I do have flare-ups from time to time, but I know that an adjustment about once a month will give me relief.  I refer others to Dr. Moreland because he was the only person able to treat my condition successfully.  Dr. Moreland’s main concern is helping his patients achieve good health and get Back In Motion.
